If you want to get away from it all and just be in the woods this is the place to be. With no on-site personnel that we saw the noise level got pretty high from some of the neighbors during the day (loud music). You'll see some women in thong bikinis despite there being no place to swim. Guests were rude and left the only paddle board and one kayak in the middle of the lake so nobody else was able to use them (signs clearly state no swimming). Houses are beautiful and very well put together. Hammocks are a great touch. Instructions prior to arrival were overwhelming with about 6 separate emails detailing different things. For the price and the cleaning fees, the cleaning required was excessive (although we likely would have done it anyway). Not being able to flush toilet paper was a bit inconvenient but once you got in the habit was no big deal. You take your trash to a dumpster when you leave so nothing stays there too long.

Lost Forest Cabins is a great destination for a quiet getaway from life. The location is perfect. The cabin was a beautiful mix of modern and rustic. The hosts are super attentive and responsive. When we first got there, I noticed the cabin wasn't set up as I had requested. Within minutes of reaching out, the hosts promptly offered a solution and fixed the problem almost immediately. I would recommend Lost Forest Cabins to anyone.

The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. We especially loved the skylight above the bed, the relaxing atmosphere, and the variety of activities on the property—from hammocks and yard games to the zip line and scenic trails. It's the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature. What truly made our experience exceptional was the outstanding hospitality from Mr. Martinez. He was incredibly responsive from start to finish, quickly answering any questions we had and making sure everything was perfect for our stay. His communication and genuine care for his guests made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our visit. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature without sacrificing comfort, Lost Forest Cabins is the place to be. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable escape in Texas!

I stayed at this beautiful cabin over the July 4th weekend as a getaway from the loud parties and fireworks. Although I could still hear some fireworks on the 4th, they were limited and far less disruptive, allowing me to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The cabin itself was clean, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick to respond whenever I had questions. There are several trailheads within a 10-minute drive, making it a great base for exploring the National Forest. The only drawback was that toilet paper cannot be flushed and must be disposed of in the lidded trash can provided. While this may be common in some remote areas, it took a little getting used to. Overall, I absolutely loved the property and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

INCREDIBLE cabins, super close to Houston but you feel like you are in your own special world. We loved every second of our trip. The kids had a blast and can’t wait to go back!

Incredible little weekend getaway. Absolutely beautiful with every accommodation you could want. We’ll be coming time and time again!

El lugar era justo lo que necesitábamos, es realmente una cabaña en el medio de la naturaleza, el camino un poco riguroso, entonces recomiendo siempre tomar la ruta durante el día, nos hizo de igual forma sentirnos seguros. La cabaña está muy bien decorada, super cómoda, tiene todo lo que se necesita para una estadía de hotel, lo único que resaltaría es que las barandas de la escalera nos parecieron un podo peligrosas porque solo tiene una cuerda en el medio, fue que creo que se podría mejorar para darle más seguridad a familias que viajen con niños. Pudimos utilizar todo el entretenimiento posible, kayak, padle boarding, hay muchas opciones para pasar el día en un mismo sitio lo cual nos pareció incleible, amamos el lugar estamos ansiosos por volver.

The perfect getaway to enjoy nature in a very glamping way. The cabin was clean, so cozy, and had everything we needed with a full kitchen. I can’t wait to go back and see my duck 🦆 friends and spend hours in the hammock. My sister and brother in law enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and the zip lines, while we strolled around the bee hives and garden. They also have some bikes but you can bring your own. And they also have some other games like jenga, corn hole, and darts. You can visit the nearby towns for antiques, and nearby hiking trails.
